Prognathodon rapax

Taxonomy
Tylosaurus rapax was named by Hay (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West Jersey Marl Company's Pit, Barnsboro (New Egypt), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone/marl in the New Egypt Formation of New Jersey.

It was recombined as Prognathodon rapax by Russell (1967), Fanti et al. (2014) and Driscoll et al. (2019).
