Chasmoclupea aegyptica

Taxonomy
Chasmoclupea aegyptica was named by Murray et al. (2005). Its type specimen is DPC 6202, a partial skeleton (head and anterior part of body), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry O, which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Chasmoclupea.
