Fisherichthys folmeri
Taxonomy
Fisherichthys folmeri was named by Weems (1999). Its type specimen is USNM 496271, a partial skull (pharyngeal plate with teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fisher/Sullivan Site, which is in a Wasatchian marine horizon in the Nanjemoy Formation of Virginia.
