Meristodonoides butleri
Taxonomy
Hybodus butleri was named by Thurmond (1971). Its type specimen is SMU 62150, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Butler Farm, which is in an Aptian/Albian terrestrial claystone in the Antlers Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Meristodonoides butleri by Underwood and Cumbaa (2010).
