Mosasaurus conodon

Taxonomy
Clidastes conodon was named by Cope (1881). Its type specimen is AMNH 1380 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is near Freehold, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Navesink Formation of New Jersey.

It was recombined as Mosasaurus conodon by Baird and Case (1966) and Fanti et al. (2014).
