Parahalobia

Bivalvia - Ostreida - Halobiidae

Taxonomy
Parahalobia was named by Yin and Hsu (1938) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Ladi Sepkoski's reference number: 524]. It is not extant. Its type is Parahalobia posidoniiformis.

It was synonymized subjectively with Halobia by McRoberts (1993); it was reranked as Halobia (Parahalobia) by Campbell (1994) and Fang et al. (2009).

It was assigned to Halobia by Campbell (1994); to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Halobiidae by Yin and Hsu (1976) and Fang et al. (2009).
