Taxonomy
Venus undatella was named by Sowerby I (1835). It is extant.

It was recombined as Chione (Chione) undatella by Parker (1949) and Coan et al. (2000); it was recombined as Chione undatella by Powell and Stevens (2000), Coan and Valentich-Scott (2012) and Hendy (2021).
