Taxonomy
Venericardia (Glyptoactis) stenygra was named by Woodring (1982). Its type specimen is USNM 647380, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Woodring Loc. 118b - Galliard Cut [Emperador Limestone], which is in an Aquitanian carbonate limestone in the Culebra Formation of Panama.
