Ctenochasma porocristata
Taxonomy
Ctenochasma porocristata was named by de Buisonje (1981). Its type specimen is SoS-2179, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wintershof Quarry, Eichstätt, Solnhofen, which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
It was synonymized subjectively with Pterodactylus elegans by Jouve (2004) and Bennett (2007).
