Toxochelys moorevillensis

Taxonomy
Toxochelys moorevillensis was named by Zangerl (1953). Its type specimen is CNHM P27330, a shell (nearly complete carapace and plastron, girdle elements, and vertebral fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moore Brothers Farm, which is in a Santonian carbonate limestone in Alabama.
