Taxonomy
Hybodus storeri was named by Case (1978). Its type specimen is MTA 3, a tooth, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Timber Ridge, which is in a Campanian/Campanian deltaic sandstone in the Judith River Formation of Montana.
