Pirula condita was named by Brongniart (1823) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Mediterranean, Myanmar, Pakistan. DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Pyrula condita by Brongniart (1823); it was recombined as Ficula condita by Sacco (1891); it was recombined as Ficus condita by Harzhauser et al. (2009); it was recombined as Ficus conditus by Harzhauser and Mandic (2001), Tiwari and Kachhara (2003) and Squires (2014).
