Cidaris shastensis
Taxonomy
Cidaris shastensis was named by Clark and Twitchell (1915) [attributed to Clark only]. Its type specimen is USNM 31188 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Round Mountain, west, which is in a Triassic marine horizon in the Cedar Formation of California.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Kier (1968).
