Bartramella was named by Verville et al. (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u C Step-l Sepkoski's reference number: 145]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Fusulininae by Wilde (2006).
