Zarhachis crassangulum

Taxonomy
Priscodelphinus crassangulum was named by Case (1904) [type specimen is said to be at the Maryland Geological Survey]. Its type specimen is USNM 8517, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is City Point, which is in a Pliocene shallow subtidal horizon in the Yorktown Formation of Virginia.

It was recombined as Schizodelphis crassangulum by True (1908); it was recombined as Cyrtodelphis crassangulum by Hay (1930); it was recombined as Zarhachis crassangulum by Muizon (1988).
