Makaracetus bidens
Taxonomy
Makaracetus bidens was named by Gingerich et al. (2005). Its type specimen is GPS-UM 3570, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kunvit, Habib Rahi Formation, which is in a Lutetian coastal shale in the Habib Rahi Formation of Pakistan. It is the type species of Makaracetus.
