Dalpiazina ombonii

Taxonomy
Champsodelphis ombonii was named by Longhi (1898). Its type specimen is IGUP 26405, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bolzano, which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in Italy. It is the type species of Champsodelphis, Dalpiazina.

It was recombined as Acrodelphis ombonii by Abel (1900), Trouessart (1904), Palmer (1904), Dal Piaz (1916), Dal Piaz (1929), Dal Piaz (1971) and Pilleri (1985); it was recombined as Dalpiazina ombonii by Muizon (1988), Muizon (1994), Bianucci and Landini (2002) and Fornasiero and Del Vavero (2014).
