Crythiosaurus mongoliensis
Taxonomy
Crythiosaurus mongoliensis was named by Gilmore (1943). Its type specimen is AMNH 6629, a partial skeleton (imperfect skull, posterior portions of both rami, and two cervical vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ulaan Khongil, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial gravel in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Crythiosaurus.
