Zlichovaspis auriculata ostara was named by Snajdr (1897).

It was recombined as Odontochile (Zlichovaspis) auriculatum ostara by Hörbinger (2000); it was recombined as Zlichovaspis (Zlichovaspis) ostara by Budil et al. (2009).
