Taxonomy
Pycnoblattina valeriea was named by Garrouste et al. (2025). Its type specimen is IF-GONF-0110, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is GONF03, Gonfaron, which is in an Artinskian/Wordian pond siltstone in the Pelitique Formation of France.
