Taxonomy
Trigonia transitoria quintucoensis was named by Weaver (1931).

It was recombined as Steinmanella (Transitrigonia) quintucoensis by Leanza (1993); it was recombined as Garatella quintucoensis by Cooper and Leanza (2017).
