Taxonomy
Tomioscarta dominiquea was named by Boderau et al. (2024). Its type specimen is MNHN IF-GONF-0104, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is GONF03, Gonfaron, which is in an Artinskian/Wordian pond siltstone in the Pelitique Formation of France.
