Lonchocephalus planus
Taxonomy
Lonchocephalus planus was named by Tasch (1951). Its type specimen is USNM 115610, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Highway No. 322 near Waddle, Bed 11.12, which is in a Merioneth shallow subtidal limestone in the Warrior Formation of Pennsylvania.
