Taxonomy
Paradoxides pentagonalis was named by Dean (1982) [Paradoxides (s.l.) pentagonalis]. Its type specimen is It.2 1 58 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality S.7, Sosink, Derik-Mardin District, which is in a Cambrian shoreface shale/sandstone in the Sosink Formation of Türkiye.
It was recombined as Acadoparadoxides pentagonalis by Dean et al. (1997).
