Taxonomy
Anopolenus impar was named by Hicks (1872). Its type specimen is SM A no A 1064 and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Centropleura impar by Lake (1934); it was recombined as Clarella impar by Weidner and Nielsen (2014).
