Suraju itayma
Taxonomy
Suraju itayma was named by Martine et al. (2020). Its type specimen is UNICAMP CP1/232, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is BR 280 between Canoinhas and Porto União, which is in a Wordian/Capitanian lacustrine - large sandstone in the Teresina Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Suraju.
