Taxonomy
Mailotrichocera jiyuanensis was named by Azar and Lian (2024). Its type specimen is NIGP206136, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Anyao, Jiyuan City, which is in a Callovian lacustrine shale in the Yangshuzhuang Formation of China.
