Taxonomy
Parahagla cheni was named by Xu et al. (2023). Its type specimen is NIGP179822, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Haojiagou-Toutunhe section, bed 97, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian lacustrine mudstone in the Badaowan Formation of China.
