Eoneophron infernalis
Taxonomy
Eoneophron infernalis was named by Atkins-Weltman et al. (2024). Its type specimen is CM 96523, a partial skeleton (partial hindlimb including right femur, right tibia and astragalocalcaneum, a right metatarsal III, and a right metatarsal IV), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eoneophron holotype site [PROXY], which is in a Maastrichtian floodplain siltstone in the Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Eoneophron.
