Taxonomy
Productus aculeatus was named by Sowerby (1814) [Based on Anomites aculeatus Martin, 1809 (Martin's publication was suppressed for not being consistently binomial)].

It was recombined as Krotovia aculeata by Muir-Wood (1951).
