Taxonomy
Liroceras karaouii was named by Korn and Klug (2023). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 39515, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is East and south-east of Rissani, which is in an Asbian marine horizon in the Mougoui Ayoun Formation of Morocco.
