Deccansaurus palaeoindicus
Taxonomy
Deccansaurus palaeoindicus was named by Yadav et al. (2023). Its type specimen is IITR/VPL/INT-K/2022/ST-07, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kesavi, which is in a Maastrichtian/Paleocene terrestrial mudstone in the Kalisindh Formation of India. It is the type species of Deccansaurus.
