Taxonomy
Cornuproetus (Cornuproetus) meinkenbrachtensis was named by Basse (1997). Its type specimen is 967-77-18, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Endorf X. Anschnitt an der Straße Meinkenbracht-Linneperhütte, which is in an Eifelian carbonate slate in the Meinkenbracht Formation of Germany.
