Taxonomy
Eumys gloveri was named by Macdonald (1970). Its type locality is Monroe Creek (LACM 2018), which is in a Monroecreekian terrestrial horizon in the Monroe Creek Formation of South Dakota.
It was recombined as Geringia gloveri by Martin (1980) and Williams and Storer (1998).
