Taxonomy
Cratoelcana rasnitsyni was named by Nel and Jouault (2021). Its type specimen is Sennlaub 13068, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Crato (Sennlaub collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
