Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
S. Zouhri et al. 2022Dentary of Dakhlasiren marocensis differs from those of
Protosiren fraasi and P. smithae in having a mandible that is smaller, with a more reduced anterior dentition lacking incisors and canines. The symphyseal portion of the mandible is broad and rounded, but it is distinctive in being narrower anteriorly and lacking a masticatory sur- face. The symphysis is smoother posteriorly than that of Protosiren, with no genioglossal fossae.
