Taxonomy
Reginaites exilis was named by Kennedy and Cobban (1991). Its type specimen is USNM 434103, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS M 31484, which is in a Santonian marine sandstone in the Eutaw Formation of Mississippi.
