Taxonomy
Burmella clypeata was named by Godunko et al. (2021). Its type specimen is SMNS BU-321, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (SMNS coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
