Taxonomy
Toxorhynchus michalskii was named by Legalov (2021). Its type specimen is ISEZh VA2019/18, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, ISEA Novosibirsk collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
