Colymbus (Dytes) oligocaenus
Taxonomy
Colymbus oligocaenus was named by Shufeldt (1915). Its type specimen is YPM 983, a limb element, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lower Willow Creek, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in Oregon.
It was recombined as Colymbus (Dytes) oligocaenus by Wetmore (1956).
