Taxonomy
Cretalamna deschutteri was named by Siversson et al. (2015). Its type specimen is WAM 13.5.17, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SECAB quarry, Bettrechies, which is in a Turonian carbonate limestone in France.
