Taxonomy
Nudivagus califus was named by Squires and Saul (2001). It is extant. Its type specimen is LACMIP 12813, a shell. Its type locality is SDSU loc. 3875, 5601 Palmer Way, Carlsbad, which is in a Campanian coastal siltstone in the Point Loma Formation of California.
