Meniscotherium
Taxonomy
Meniscotherium was named by Cope (1874). It is not extant. Its type is Meniscotherium chamense. It is the type genus of Meniscotheriidae.
It was assigned to Chalicotheriidae by Cope (1881); to Meniscotheriidae by Cope (1874), Hay (1902), Carroll (1988); to Phenacodontidae by Thewissen et al. (2001); to Perissodactyla by Cooper et al. (2014); and to Meniscotheriinae by Archibald (1998), Halliday et al. (2017).
