Taxonomy
Lucina turneri was named by Stanton (1896). Its type specimen is USNM 108971, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Phacoides turneri by Dickerson (1914); it was recombined as Eomiltha turneri by Smith (1975); it was recombined as Claibornites (Codalucina) turneri by Moore (1988), Hendy (2020).
