Drabovaspis was named by Chlupáč (1963). It is not extant. Its type is Drabovaspis complexa.
It was assigned to Aglaspidida by Chlupac (1965); to Xiphosurida by Bergström (1968); to Eolimulacea by Bergström (1975); to Xiphosura by Ortega-Hernández et al. (2010), Dunlop et al. (2020); and to Cheloniellida by Van Roy et al. (2022).
