Rananasus brevicephalus
Taxonomy
Rananasus brevicephalus was named by Cullison (1944). Its type specimen is USNM MSM-106.2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is M. S. M. 106.2. Missouri State Highway 80, 1/4 mile west of Tecumseh bridge, which is in a Jeffersonian carbonate dolomite in the Rich Fountain Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Ranasasus brevicephalus by Loch (1995).
