Taxonomy
Schloenbachia elobiensis was named by Szajnocha (1885). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Inseln Elobi, which is in an Albian marine sandstone in Equatorial Guinea.
It was recombined as Elobiceras elobiense by Haas (1942); it was recombined as Elobiceras elobiensis by Reyment (1955).
