Stegotetrabelodon lehmanni was named by Gaziry (1997). Its type specimen is SMF-DD 3151, a tooth (Right M3), and it is a 3D body fossil.

Upper tusks subparallel, straight, downturned, and lacking enamel bands. Premaxillae parallel and straight. Relatively short, tuskless mandibular symphysis. |
