Taxonomy
Alpinoschwagerina ankaraensis was named by Leven (1995). Its type specimen is GGM VI-230/33, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample T3, Beitepe, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in Turkey.
