Caririchnium kyoungsookimi was named by Lim et al. (2012). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is NHCG 10194, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Hadrosauropodus kyoungsookimi by Díaz-Martínez et al. (2015), Lee et al. (2018), Han (2020) and Leonardi et al. (2021).
